Error Exporting to FIM  "access denied"
HelloI going nuts trying to figure this error out. I recieve the failed webservice erro when trying to export to FIM portalThere is an error executing a web service object modification request. Type: Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.Client.PermissionDeniedException Message: Access to the requested resource(s) is denied Stack Trace: at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.Client.UninitializedResource.PerformUpdate() at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.Client.UninitializedResource.Update() at MIIS.ManagementAgent.RavenMA.ExportObjectModification(DataSourceObject dsObject, SchemaManager schemaManager) at MIIS.ManagementAgent.RavenMA.Export(DataSourceObject dsObject) Inner Exception: I have changed the Administrator and Syncuser MPRs as listed in the folloing post http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/aa5ac051-8ae4-49ea-abcc-9d7a5890a08b/Still no luckI notied that my FIM Sync service is not running as the same account defined as sync service in the portal. Is this a problem ? Any other ideas this is driving me crazythanks

Do you mean the FIM MA account or the FIM service account?Try this on your FIM server:runas /user:fabrikam\fimma cmdOK, you will probably have to specify a different account :o)What happens in this case?Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Technical Content Developer, Microsoft Corporation

Markusboth my services are running as ILMExecutive, my sync account in the portal is ILMsync. I can succesfully do the runas for both accounts

Markus Here are the results PS C:\Users\kckorb> .\fim.ps1 FIM MA Account Test ==================== -Reading registry configuration -FIM MA account name: ORBIT20\ilmsync -FIM MA account SID : S-1-5-21-1459996400-638842516-2096446607-1679 -Reading MA configuration -FIM MA account name: orbit20\ilmexecutive Error: Rgistry configuration and FIM MA configuration for MA account don't match! PS C:\Users\kckorb> I vaguely might of changed the service accounts after the install. I vaguely remember being confused about the additional account prompted during the install. Can I just change the setting in the registry Key of do I need to reinstall ?

With a lot of help from Markus I was able to figure this out. I had the user account under the FIM MA set incorrectly. It has to be the same user as defined as the syncronation user in the ILM portal. Once I ran the script Markus created it identified that the account was set incorectly, changed the account and was good to go.Thanks again for yout help Markus
